Powder or ombre brows is when we shade the brow distributing pigment evenly throughout the brow using the tattoo gun. This creates a more defined looking eyebrow, perfect for those lovely ladies who like to wear heavier makeup as it create a fuller look compared to microblading.

Immediately following your procedure, the tattooed area will appear darker and bolder in colour and more sharply defined. This can last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true colour of the tattoo is evident. During this process the tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much colour has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. It will take 6 weeks to see the true colour, as it seems to take on new strength and it is only after 6 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done.

A powder brow can be tattooed as strong or as soft as you desire. Powder brows are often thought of as “sharpie brows”. However, at feathered ink that is not the case. We can give a subtle brow or a brow with more depth. It is totally up to you. It is done with a very small tattoo machine and by colouring in the entire eyebrow, creating a softness around the edge so it appears to be powdered on. If you want a more solid brow, we can do that too. One thing we will not do is go too dark or too thick.
Feathering- hair stroke simulation – 3d brows 3d eye brow tattooing is probably the most popular technique used. Hair strokes are tattooed, in the same way as natural brow hairs to achieve a fuller more defined look. Due to its delicate nature, usually a few sittings are required to achieve depth and the finished look. Is not recommended for some skin types.

Eyebrow Tattoo Post Care Tips
No exercise or extended direct sunlight for 7 days to prevent the permanent eyebrow tattoo from becoming infected. Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them. Redness and swelling is usually minimal, and will disappear within 48 hours, in rare case it may reach 3 days. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards but there should be minimal discomfort. Clients may experience a headache following the treatment. Apply all aftercare product using a clean cotton swab and not your fingertips. Keep the tattooed area clean by rinsing with lukewarm water and patting dry with a disposable paper towel.
Days 21 to 30: Skin is completely healed
Generally, no time off work is needed for healing as mild redness and swelling immediately after the procedure will subside within 24 hours. Healing time is approximately 10- 14 days for the top layers of skin. Initially after the procedure, brows will be much darker, more saturated and thicker than what the final result will be once fully healed; it is important to understand that brows will become 10-15% thinner and up to 40% lighter. Between 4-6 weeks, the area and deeper layers of the skin will be fully healed and reveal its true shape and color. There can be some minor patchiness in healing between your first and second appointment - this is the purpose of your touch up or "perfecting" appointment, which can be booked 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment.
